It has been a busy month for us at GAME Credits and we are excited to show off what we’ve been working on.. A lot of the features we worked on were based on feedback we received from all of you in the community.
The development team has been super busy in March.
We’ve brought on several new developers to the team that have a wealth of blockchain experience. Our team has steadily grown since last July when we launched our ERC 20 token and hope to continue to grow in the near future.
GAME Credits is hiring across many departments, which can be found on our new Careers page. Some of the open positions are Dev Lead/Scrum Master, Community Managers, Art Director and more.
March also saw the first of the GAME Credits / Splinterlands LIVE tournaments. We want to thank everyone from GAME Credits and Splnterlands who made this a great success.
Along with the tournament we released the first Splinterlands Sketch NFT, Qid Yuff, Splinterlands Summoner on the GAME Platform.
April is gearing up to have a few more announcements including some Platform updates, some Nova Blitz community events and a few more things we are very excited about!
GAME Credits & Splinterlands are excited to announce the first of 4 upcoming Live Tournaments for 2021.
The first tournament will be on March 27, 2021 11AM EST and will include a prize pool of $500 paid out in $GAME Token!!
Future tournaments will take place in June, September, & December 2021, the last one being a special “Winner’s Tournament”!
This tournament will seat ONLY 32 entries, with 8 places paying.
So make sure you sign up fast!

Who noticed the big platform update? We did a secret launch of the new GAME Credits Marketplace! This new feature allows you to buy and sell NFTs straight from the GAME Credits Foundry. If you haven’t seen it, get to it!
In other news, with the cost of gas going bonkers, it has made GAME Credits uniquely positioned, with our GAME Foundry & NFT minting platform, for the Matic/Polygon ecosystem (for those that didn’t know Matic is rebranding as Polygon). We are developing features to enable artists, streamers, influencers, and games to add NFTs to the Matic/Polygon network while also enabling OpenSea trading of Game-minted items.
Another benefit, and way to cancel out those high gas fees, we’ve worked with the Matic/Polygon and QuickSwap teams to provide two new liquidity pools on the Matic mainnet. Both ETH/GAME and QUICK/GAME liquidity pools are now available and can be traded on for fractions of a penny per transaction. The power of layer 2 and sidechains – harnessed!
These updates & enhancements, which we are currently working, on include mp4 support, additional aspect ratios, unlockable content, and Matic/Polygon only creators (which ALSO saves on Gas costs!).
In March get ready for some more community events involving Nova Blitz, Splinterlands, and maybe another Meme Contest (shrug emoji). On the topic of Memes, thanks to all who participated in February’s #GCMeme contest!
In the background we’ve been working on a new website look, which will include new features, a new knowledge base and maybe an additional surprise or two…….
In February we had some new additions to the GAME Portal including Mazer Gaming; a professional esports team and The DArtCo, who brings a stable of high quality NFT artists to the GAME Portal and Foundry

Dear GAME Credits Community,
It has recently come to our attention that there has been some confusion and concern within our community regarding the ability of holders of the former GAME token from the previous GAME Credits platform to redeem the forked ERC-20 GAME token, which operates as the utility token for the current GAME Credits platform. Hearing these concerns, the management of the GAME Credits team came together to work on providing clarity and the solution outlined below. But first, I believe some additional context would be helpful.
In November of 2019 we became aware that the old GAME Credits platform was, for lack of a better word, dying. Having been big fans of the goals that the original GAME Credits team set out to achieve, we decided that it would be worthwhile for us to make it part of our own goals to carry that mission forward. Given that GAME Credits already had a great community that was excited about the project, we inquired as to whether the previous GAME Credits team would be willing to sell us the intellectual property rights to continue our mission using the GAME Credits name and ticker symbol for what would be a new ERC-20 GAME token. Of course, we could have simply forked the project under a new name and ticker symbol or continued to use the Nova Token name, but we wanted to carry forward the mission of the original GAME Credits project and thought the best way to do so would be under the GAME Credits name. So, we acquired the name and started developing our new platform.
On June 13th, 2020 the new forked ERC-20 GAME utility token went live on the Ethereum blockchain. Because we were deciding to rebrand the Nova Token platform to GAME Credits and continue to develop Nova Token under the GAME Credits name, and because Nova Tokens would no longer have utility after the change, we airdropped each Nova Token holder an amount of GAME that was proportionate to their total holdings of Nova Token and the new maximum supply of GAME.
Additionally, because our goal of continuing to develop our project under the GAME Credits name was to carry out the mission of the original GAME Credits project rather than seeing it die, we wanted to offer holders of the former GAME token, which had by that point lost nearly all of its utility, the opportunity to join us in our project and hold our new ERC-20 GAME utility token. To accomplish this, we started by working with various exchanges where the old GAME was listed to facilitate automatic redemption of the old GAME held on the exchanges for new ERC-20 GAME. Roughly 60% of all GAME was redeemed this way. However, because the old GAME was not an ERC-20 token, we could not simply airdrop new GAME tokens to users who were holding GAME in their personal wallets. So, we created a redemption process and offered a 6-month redemption window that ended December 31, 2020 (a period we understood to be considerably long for a forked token) for former GAME holders to redeem the new ERC-20 GAME token. We did everything we could to communicate this redemption period to all GAME holders, but because of the anonymous nature of blockchain, there were limitations. Nevertheless, a significant number of users got the message and redeemed their old GAME for the new token.
We recently became aware that our GAME redemption form was left active until very recently, which has created some confusion regarding former GAME holders’ ability to redeem beyond the December 31, 2020 cutoff. Because we value having each of you in our community, we have made the decision that we will honor valid requests that came in before the form was taken down on February 23rd. If you previously filled in the form, or reached out, we have recorded your request, and will contact you in the next two weeks regarding a redemption. We ask that you please be patient as this will take time.
Going forward we will no longer be offering redemption of the former GAME token for the forked ERC-20 GAME token.
We have several exciting developments we will be announcing in the next few months and could not be more excited for what the future holds for GAME Credits. Thank you for being a member of this amazing community.

We are excited to announce the launch of the GAME Credits Marketplace. The Marketplace allows owners to sell their acquired NFTs, or other in-game items, to other interested users, while the original creators earn a royalty on those sales. Creators can differentiate themselves by offering what specific users want, plus provide a way to sell their NFTs and in-game items and make Fiat.
Users that have purchased NFTs through the GAME Credits web portal or via their in-game account, including collectibles purchased or won as part of a contest or competition, can now sell them directly using a linked Ethereum based wallet such as MetaMask.
Nova Blitz will be the first game on the GAME Credits roadmap to roll out this feature, with a launch targeted for later in 2021.
The new GAME Credits Marketplace will allow users to filter on their favorite Creators and find all of the ‘auctions’ that are of interest to them. Once purchased, users can sell items from their own collections in the same manner as other creators.
Last but not least, the GAME Credits Marketplace will also enable items of limited rarity that have ‘sold out’ to be acquired from those who have bought and are reselling them.
The GAME Credits Marketplace is easy to get started in and there is no blockchain or crypto knowledge required to own & collect NFTs. Having minimal crypto and exchange knowledge will make the process of exchanging $GAME for $ETH and $ETH for Fiat much easier. Exchanges such as UniSwap and Coinbase provide easy to follow tutorials on how to do so.
As we alluded to in the first State of the GAME address last month, 2021 will be an incredibly busy year for the team. We’ll be rounding off our feature releases and announcing some very exciting partnerships as the year progresses. In the meantime, let’s dive into what’s happened since our last update.
The development team has been working on Nova Blitz for mobile platforms, Nova Blitz on Blockchain, and the upcoming GAME Marketplace and GAME Loyalty Points.
The GAME Credits Marketplace will allow owners to sell their acquired NFTs, or other in-game items, to other interested users, while the original creators earn a royalty on those sales.
Loyalty Points is a new system that rewards users for staking on a creator on the GAME Credits Rewards Portal. If you’re familiar with yield farming in the DeFi space, this is an identical process for the gaming and NFT space.

We’re pleased to announce that another leading Metaverse, SomniumSpace, has joined the GAME Rewards portal. Speaking to the above development update, there will be some very clever uses to the upcoming loyalty points feature allowing supporters to earn some unique NFTs and other collectibles. Keep a close eye out for the launch of Loyalty Points as this will bring a whole new dimension to the rewards you as a supporter will earn.

Additionally we’ve added Nick Frontera to our operations team. Nick serves as our COO and CLO and is helping bring some of his vision to the operations side of GAME. Prior to joining the team he spent his career as an attorney at two prestigious law firms in the US and first became involved in the blockchain space in 2017. He also manages comic legend turned crypto artist, Jose Delbo.
The operations team has begun to streamline itself and is in talks with several other exciting new creators that we will be onboarding to the GAME Rewards portal as well as taking advantage of the GAME Foundry. There are a lot of things we are working on behind the scenes. We know everyone wants to be kept up to date, however as a company, we will not share info until the items have a solid release date. There is a lot of hype in crypto and that is both good and bad.

Welcome to our first annual State of the GAME update. In this brief write up we’ll cover some of the developments we saw in 2020 as well as some teasers of what’s to come in 2021. GAME Credits was formed with a new team in 2020, building off of the infrastructure left by previous teams. In April 2020 this was formally announced to the public as NovaToken merged with GameCredits to form the new GAME Credits. Read more about the acquisition here, as well as the NovaToken (NVT) and GameCredits (GAME) merge into GAME Credits.
We have continued working on our technical offering, the GAME Credits Platform, throughout the process of this transition. Our bottom line has always been to empower players and developers and bring tokenization and blockchain to the gaming world. 2020, while full of challenges, has brought us significantly closer to achieving that goal.

While we can’t supply an official date, the heavy lifting involved for the launch of the GAME Exchange is finished and we expect this key feature of the platform to be released in the near future. This will allow users of the portal (games, developers, and GAMErs) to buy, sell, and trade collectibles directly.
2021 will be an exciting year for GAME Credits as we work towards the full launch of our platform with all intended functionality. As the blockchain industry continues to embrace NFTs and gaming we find ourselves in an enviable position with a robust technology stack covering almost every facet imaginable in the gaming and NFT ecosystem. This will foster new relationships with partners and help us deliver the best collection of games, NFTs, and the functionality between them in the industry.

The blockchain industry has been on a rollercoaster of a ride over the past few years, and while many others have folded, the GameCredits brand has proved its resilience. Since its inception in 2014, GC has stood by and for its gamers — and will continue to do so for many years to come. As a League of Legends streamer, btcdaddy made the early jump from the failed Mixer project to Twitch before the global shutoff that turned a corner for the industry.
His early insights into Bitcoin and other crypto have been the precipice of his persona. As many Cryptonians, btcdaddy feels most comfortable on a rocketship to the moon as the bitcoin bullrun ensues, which is what gave the GC art team the inspiration for the first Champion’s NFTs minted especially for btcdaddy.

Good day GAME faithful and welcome to another installment of the monthly update here at GAME HQ. This has been one of the busiest months in company history as we’ve rounded off our next feature release! Let’s dive into the details of the release and everything else happening with GAME.
Development
With much of the heavy lifting having been completed in September for our NFT Foundry, the theme for October was polishing testing and fine tuning the user experience. We spent a lot of time with our user experience team going through and making sure the site and the workflows make for an easy to use experience.
We’ve also been hard at work implementing a new landing page that will highlight featured creators to support and feature NFT Collectible for purchase. This new home page will allow us to feature the projects we’re excited about and feel that you should be too.
With the launch today creators will be able to add themselves to our rewards portal, like games do today. In addition they will be able to mint their own NFT in our Foundry and sell them for GAME Credits to you, their fans. We cannot wait to see what types of collectibles they come up with.
Next up for the team is to get the secondary market UI done and some other important features that will make onboarding and collectible purchases more seamless.
Also in October we brought on two new developers to help with the workload and bring more expertise to the team
For Nova Blitz, we are finalizing In App Purchases, testing and builds for release to Google Play and Apple App Store. The game plays really well on mobile devices, and this will help maximize our distribution influence before going to the blockchain. Second, we have started building out our migration of the economy data to the GAME Credits platform and finishing our Unity SDK Libraries.
Now that things are winding down on our upcoming release, we’ll be looking forward to talking about what’s coming next in the November update!
Marketing
In October we welcomed “Psychedelic / Visionary 2D/3D 360° AR/VR #CryptoArtist” Natural Warp to the rewards portal. You can support Natural Warp by staking GAME through the Rewards Portal at app.gamecredits.org.
October also saw the official launch of the GAME Credits HQ in Decentraland and more specifically, Crypto Valley at the coordinates 59,14. Come check out our new space!

Operations
As mentioned earlier in this update the work for the GAME Foundry has been completed and launched, November 11th during the Futurist Conference. Our Lead Developer Matt Quirk gave a demo of this exciting new tool in the demo day stream for Blockchain Game Alliance.
As discussed in previous updates our GAME Ambassador Program will be going live soon. We are currently running pilots of the program with select users and community members. After some time we will open up public applications for this program. In the meantime, if you think you have what it takes to become an ambassador feel free to join our Discord so you can discuss this with team members directly.
Keep your eye out for more NovaBlitz news as we edge closer to launching on Google Play and the Apple Store. Once this is live there will be plenty of opportunities to earn prizes and even compete directly against GAME team members.
